Terms of service
The agreement between you and 1Workspace. Last updated 7 September 2026.
The agreement
These terms are between you and [legal entity name] (“we”, “us”), and they apply when you use 1Workspace — the site at 1workspace.in, the product at app.1workspace.in, and any workspace hosted on its own address. By creating an account or using a workspace, you accept them.
If you are accepting on behalf of a company, you are confirming that you are allowed to bind it, and “you” means that company from then on.
What the service is
1Workspace is hosted software for planning and doing work: tasks and projects, chat, documents, meetings, dashboards, automations and forms, inside a workspace that lives at its own address. We provide it as it is described on this site, and we may add to it, change it, or remove parts of it as the product develops.
Your account
- Give us accurate details, and keep your email address current — it is how we reach you about security and access.
- Your credentials are yours. Do not share them, and tell us promptly if you think somebody else has them.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account. Turning on two-factor authentication is the single best thing you can do about that, and it is free.
- You must be at least 16, and legally able to enter into this agreement.
Your workspace and who runs it
A workspace has an owner and administrators, and they hold real power over it: they can invite people, change roles, read the audit log, export everything in it, transfer ownership, and delete the whole thing. If you were invited into somebody else’s workspace, they control that workspace and the content in it — including your contributions to it — and they can remove your access at any time.
Your workspace address is licensed to you for as long as the workspace exists; it is not property and it is not transferable on its own. Names that impersonate somebody else, or that are reserved for the operation of the service, are not available. If a workspace with a shared address is deleted, we hold that address for 90 days before anybody else can take it.
Your content
Everything you put into a workspace stays yours. We claim no ownership of it. You give us only the permission we need to run the service: to store it, back it up, transmit it, display it to the people in your workspace, and process it to provide the features you are using. That permission ends when the content is deleted, save for backups that expire on the schedule in our privacy policy.
You are responsible for having the right to put your content here, and for it not breaking the law or somebody else’s rights. You can export it at any time, and we will not hold it hostage if you decide to leave.
Acceptable use
Do not use 1Workspace to:
- Break the law, or help somebody else break it.
- Send spam, phishing or malware, or use our email delivery to reach people who did not ask to hear from you.
- Upload anything that infringes copyright, trademark or trade secrets.
- Harass, threaten or impersonate anybody, or publish somebody’s private information without their consent.
- Probe, scan, overload or attempt to break the service, or circumvent its access controls, rate limits or tenant boundaries.
- Resell it, or run it as your own product, without a written agreement with us.
- Use automation to create accounts or workspaces in bulk.
Security research is welcome, and we would much rather hear from you than not: report what you find to hello@1workspace.in and give us a reasonable chance to fix it before telling anybody else. Do not test against a workspace that is not yours.
Fees
[Pricing is not settled. Replace this section with your plans, what each includes, the billing cycle, when a card is charged, how renewal works, what happens at the end of a trial, your refund policy, and how tax is handled]. Until it is replaced, no charge is made for using 1Workspace, and we will give account holders notice by email before that changes.
Availability and changes
We work to keep the service up and we do not promise that it always will be. Maintenance happens, sometimes at short notice when it is a security fix. We may change features, and if we remove one you depend on we will give you reasonable notice and an export path.
Suspension and ending it
You can stop at any time: leave a workspace, or delete it, or ask us to close your account. We may suspend or end access if you materially break these terms, if your use threatens the service or other customers, or if we are legally required to.
Where the circumstances allow it, we will warn you first and give you a chance to put it right. Where they do not — active abuse, or a legal order — we may act immediately and tell you afterwards. On termination, you can export your content for a reasonable period unless the law prevents us from allowing it.
Our intellectual property
The software, the design, the name and the logo are ours and stay ours. These terms give you permission to use the service, not a licence to copy it. Feedback you send us we may act on freely and without obligation — which is not us claiming your ideas, only saying that we are not going to run a clearing house for them.
What we do not promise
The service is provided as it is. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet a requirement we have not agreed to in writing.
Keep your own backups of anything you cannot afford to lose. The export exists for exactly this reason.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for lost profits, revenue, goodwill or data, however caused. Our total liability arising out of this agreement is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or [amount].
Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including death or personal injury caused by negligence, and fraud.
Indemnity
You will cover us against claims brought by a third party arising from your content or from your use of the service in breach of these terms, including reasonable legal costs. We will tell you promptly about any such claim and let you control the defence of it, so long as any settlement does not put an obligation on us.
Governing law
This agreement is governed by the law of [jurisdiction], and the courts of [jurisdiction] have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from it — except that either party may seek an injunction wherever it needs one. If a provision of these terms is unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
Changes to these terms
We will update the date at the top when these terms change. For a material change we will email account holders at least 30 days before it takes effect; continuing to use the service after that is acceptance. If you do not accept a change, you may stop using the service and export your content.
